Lattice-braced carbon fibre reinforced soundboard design giving the guitars their superior tonal character. The advantage of a lattice design is its lighter weight, superior strength and the shape of the lattice stimulates the soundboard more than a traditional fan-braced guitar. The soundboard is domed which creates structural strength, better air movement withing the guitar box and a finer quality sound.
Back and sides
Made with Brazilian rosewood timber. The back is a brace-less arched back design made to produce maximum volume, projection and tone. The arched back is truly a one of a kind regarding depth of curve which is achieved by using very unique construction methods exclusive to Ziata Guitars™. A brace-less arched back helps to produce a very powerful clean note by strengthening the back to create a better stiffer reflective surface and reduce vibration loss. Also, the stiff brace-less arched back minimises the negative effect that player muffling has on the sound.
12th fret position
The 12th fret is slightly further away from the body than other classical guitars. This feature is more useful when playing in the higher positions on the fretboard. By moving the 12th fret, a 20th fret could be installed without obstructing the sound hole and interfering with the air movement.
This is an original unique design that is simple and elegant, with the source of inspiration being a semi-opened rose bud, ©George Ziatas.
Gotoh premium series tuning machines are standard on all Ziata guitars.
Bridge & Rosette
The bridge is carved from Padauk timber which is the same species as Rosewood but is much lighter and therefore generates more volume. The rosette is an original designed pattern that is unique to Ziata guitars ©George Ziatas.
The neck is made from Honduras Mahogany and reinforced with carbon fibre producing maximum stiffness which is essential to minimise vibration loss and keep the neck stable to withstand the test of time
A two part lacquer provides the guitar with very good protection and is the best available modern blended Lacquer for finishing guitars. This lacquer provides a finish that looks deep and by applying a thinner coat it prevents muffling of the sound. After full curing of the finish the guitar is then buffed to a very high gloss.
